Internal Tank Calibration & External Tank Calibration

Internal Tank Calibration and External Tank Calibration Services – Storage tanks are not perfect cylinders. Many variables change the shape during construction and as the tank ages. For example heat input during welding can create distortions at the weld seams and tank settlement can cause various changes to the shape of the bottom shell and can tilt the tank in certain circumstances.

External Tank calibration & Internal Tank Calibration is the systematic, analytic and methodical representation of true volumetric capacity for any containment system corresponding to a certain measurement value. Reliable quantity measurement is critical as to mitigate business loss. The calibration tables express the volume measurement for a specific product height in the storage tank. The only way that any gauging system can accurately measure the amount of product in a containment system is to calibrate that system with accurate capacity tables. Inaccurate or out of date calibration tables may negate even the most accurate tank level gauging systems.

We have the high-end equipment (i.e. Laser Total Station, Laser Distance Meter, Laser Auto-leveller etc.) and well experienced engineers to carry out the Internal Tank Calibration and External Tank Calibration activity On-site. The software we use to generate the Calibration table is indigenously developed and works with any type of tank shapes and sizes. Depending on the Tank size and shape, Client’s requirement or Local Govt. regulation TSS follows international standards ISO or standards set by API (American Petroleum Institute).
